EMERGENCY SERVICES

Stand Downs occur twice a year presenting respite and services for homeless veterans.

Street Outreach brings resources and information to men and women living on the streets, campsites, alleys, vehicles, shelters,  sheds etc. twelve months of the year.

One Step Beyond is a small congregation based winter emergency program dedicated to men focused and directed in leaving homelessness behind. 

Halfway House Placement offers thirty days of recovery assistance exiting the VA Substance Abuse Treatment Program.

TRANSITIONAL HOUSING

Transitional housing provides our veterans for “up to” twenty four (24) months of exceptional residential services. With the variety of programs available, we assist the homeless veteran just returning from war and unable to find employment to the more complicated cases of the  Dually Diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) or/and other mental illness.VA Grant and Per Diem Programs and HUD Transitional Supported Programs allow time for skills development leading to successful completion of the program.  Reemployment, recovery, medical and/or psychiatric stabilization, community and social reintegration, restoration of financial means and credit repair, family reunification all culminate with planned and healthy moves to independent living.

PERMANENT HOUSING

Comin’ Home works with City of Tucson administered HUD programs to ensure a successful and meaningful  life in our community with four proven winning Permanent Supported Housing Programs.

From apartment selection to the final touches of decorating  we assist the veterans in making his/her/their new residence a home. Comin’ Home staff follows up on a regular basis to ensure the veteran has the medical, psychiatric and professional support to continued success in the Tucson and Pima County community.
