COMIN’ HOME HISTORY
During the fall of 1988, community members concerned with the increasing number of homeless veterans living on the streets and in shelters, saw the need for a transitional program as a bridge between short-term solutions and self sufficiency. Comin’ Home became that bridge and opened it’s doors to five homeless veterans in January 1989. Since that time hundreds of veterans have been served by Comin’ Home. Many have achieved the goal of independent, sober, self sufficient living.
Since it’s inception in 1989 Comin’ Home has provided services for over 3,700 homeless veterans.
